Y Linh Ho is a small commune located about 7 kilometers southwest of Sapa Town, along the Muong Hoa River. It consists of a dozen small hamlets scattered throughout a difficult mountain environment with high and steep mountains. Y Linh Ho Village is a neighboring hamlet in Sapa that you don't want to miss out on because of its stunning views and cultural experience.
Y Linh Ho Village is called home by both the Giay and the Black H'Mong people. Travelers in this community are frequently invited into all of the welcoming people's homes. The locals would be delighted to teach you about their culture and customs, as well as some of their daily activities like weaving fabric and textiles. Tourists are encouraged to buy things not only for their uniqueness and beauty, but also for their practical utility, such as brocade scarves, embroidered cushions, or ethnic instruments as gifts, in order to support the residents' traditional craft.
Y Linh Ho villagers are pleasant, but the walks are the highlight of your trip to discover this village. Travelers are overwhelmed by such a lovely valley nestled between hills, with clean, fresh air and a serene atmosphere as they go along the path leading into the village. The panorama of H'Mong wooden and bamboo cottages is also worth visiting. Then you'll stroll down to the river at Lao Chai Village, where you and even the local H'Mong can stay and share a picnic lunch.
Only tiny cars and bikes can pass via the route going to Muong Hoa Valley. To enjoy the beautiful trail and blend in with nature, it is advisable to ride a motorcycle. However, if you're not used to riding motorcycles, the road may become slick and dangerous to ride. Alternatively, getting a taxi to Y Linh Ho Village is a safe and trustworthy choice.
Many tourists prefer a one-day itinerary that includes visits to Y Linh Ho Village, Ta Van, and Lao Chai Village. If you want to get a taste of the H'Mong culture, you can hire an H'Mong guide.
