With its flooded mangrove forest habitat and numerous flora and fauna, Tra Su Indigo Forest epitomizes the beauty of An Giang's flooding season. The natural and serene beauty of Tra Su Indigo Forest draws many local and international tourists.
Tra Su Indigo Woodland is a typical flooded forest in the southern area, located in Van Giao Commune, Tinh Bien District, An Giang Province. Tra Su is home to over 140 plant species, 11 animal species, and 23 fish species, including rare species of significant scientific significance. It covers an area of 845 acres.
Because it is flooding season in September and October, it is considered the finest time to visit Tra su indigo woodland. The forest is really lovely at this time.
Travel around 100 kilometers from Long Xuyen town to Tinh Bien district, An Giang province. A red soil road will lead you to the Tra Su indigo forest. Huge rice fields and huge palm palms line the road. Farmers dye their ducks in yellow, red, green, purple, and other colors to identify them, so you'll notice multicolored ducks along the road. You'll have to walk from the parking lot to the forest gate when you arrive at Tra Su. There are lotus ponds and lush green trees on both sides of the road.
Almost every everyday activity of delta people is linked to the massive river during flood seasons. The tranquil, simple sights of local children playing in the lake or fishermen throwing nets professionally are easy to capture.
The western rivers, on the other hand, are most lovely at sunset, when rows of palm trees reflect the setting light in a fascinating fashion. Tourists can also help pick lotuses and caltrops along the Vam Nao River's bank.
