Thung Nham Bird Park Sanctuary

Thung Nham Bird Park Sanctuary is one of the few tourist attractions that fully converges on factors of cultural, spiritual, and cultural landscape and biodiversity. Located in the southwest and 14km from Ninh Binh city, the Thung Nham Bird Park (Thung Chim) is in Ninh Hai commune, Hoa Lu district.

Thung Nham Bird Park Sanctuary is surrounded by tropical forests on limestone mountains, with many valleys and caves, blending with the nature of trees and flowers. This is home to 40 species of birds with about 50,000 birds, including storks, cauldrons, starlings, fire warblers, teals and Phoenix, Hang Hac (precious birds in the Red Book). Here, visitors will be able to explore the green nature and watch the birds fly in the sky. This is a very wild and rare landscape.

Visiting Thung Nham Bird Park Sanctuary, visitors should go in the late afternoon around 4pm-5pm. This is the time when birds come back after feeding. The season with many birds is autumn.

Vai Gioi cave is a cave located on a high mountain, about 5,000m2 wide, containing many fanciful stalagmites divided into 3 caves "Earth, Hell and Heaven". Legend has it that the ancients set up an altar to sacrifice to Heaven to pray for favorable weather and good crops. To visit Vai Gioi Cave, after going through the ticket gate 500m, visitors turn right to go up the cave. After overcoming the challenge of 439 stone steps, you will reach the cave entrance.

Moving Banyan Tree is a thousand-year-old ancient tree that brings many surprises to visitors. The banyan tree has moved three times around the ancient temple and has been evaluated by scientists and experts for more than 300 years.

Garden Area has a total area of ​​80,000m2 planted with various fruit trees such as apples, guava, star fruit, mango, persimmon, litchi, custard-apple... Coming here, visitors will be released into nature, enjoy delicious fruits and feel like they are lost in "Hoa Qua Son" (kingdom of fruits). In addition, at the garden area, visitors can experience gardening like a real farmer.

But Cave is a 500m long natural rock cave belonging to Thung Nham Bird Park Sanctuary. In the cave, there is a stone statue of the Buddha sitting by the beautiful underground river. The cave is dark and there is no electric light system, visitors should bring a flashlight to visit.

Mermaid Cave (Tien Ca Cave) has a length of more than 1,500m. The system of stalactites in the beautiful cave has many very strange and unique natural shapes, like fine art paintings of nature. Over millions of years, this place also handed down a story about a petrified mermaid.
