Soi Sim Island in Halong Bay draws tourists due to the green color of the plants growing on the island, in addition to the wild beauty, the quiet space, and the clean blue beach, can be observed each school of small fish swimming around.
Soi Sim is a small land island with two peaks that are about 100 meters high and the slope is gentle to the southwest in the middle. It is located in the west of Halong Bay, about 6.5 sea miles from Tuan Chau Island and close to Titov Island.
Soi Sim has an area of about 8.7 hectares. The island has a special geological structure with 2/3 of the area covered by Feralit soil and weathered soil. On the mountain is a little primeval forest with a variety of rich plants, including many endemic and valuable tree species, typical of the Ha Long Bay ecosystem. According to researchers, the reason Soi Sim has so many endemic plants is because the island existed hundreds of millions of years ago, then surrounded by the sea. Local people said that in the past, there were many myrtle trees on the island, so it was called Soi Sim.
The most attractive thing for visitors when coming to Soi Sim is the green color of the plants growing on the island. In addition to the wild beauty and quiet space, the beach here is blue, very clean, and can be observed each school of small fish swimming around. Perhaps, because of this, visitors to Soi Sim are very fond of swimming. In addition, Soi Sim also has a convenient high point for sightseeing. From there, visitors can have a panoramic view of both the southeast and northwest of the heritage site, the natural wonder of the world, Ha Long Bay.
With unspoiled beauty, rich ecosystems and located in the heart of the heritage area, the world's natural wonder of Ha Long Bay, Soi Sim is an attractive destination, attracting visitors to the landscape. swimming, eco-tourism in Ha Long Bay, especially in hot summer days. It is known that, according to the plan, in the near future, there will be a Ha Long Bay fauna and flora reserve built on Soi Sim island...
