Coming to Ban Ho Village to indulge in the pure Lavie Stream, the pleasant sound of running water from the Ca Nhay Waterfalls, and the calm village's other natural features is a must.
The Lavie Stream, along with the Muong Hoa Stream, weaves its way past stones, hills, mountains, and terraced rice fields of Tay village, which is set in the gorgeous Muong Hoa Valley, completing Ban Ho Sapa's picturesque appearance. Despite the fact that Ban Ho is not far from Sapa Vietnam's center, few tourists visit the village due to the difficult approach road, which is under construction and slick during the wet season.
Driving from Sapa to Su Pan Area and then climbing 10 kilometers to Ban Ho is another option for getting to the village. Ban Ho Village, Ban Ho is well worth the relatively tough trek there, since the village rewards tourists with breathtaking vistas of pristine scenery and the opportunity to learn about the Tay ethnic people's daily activities.
Travelers will cross brooks gently flowing down bamboo cylinders that locals use to channel the water into their terraced paddy fields, wooden houses perched on the sides of rolling hills, and wild flowers on their way to the waterfalls, which were named by locals after seeing fish jumping out of the water in the past.
When the boulders and stones along the Lavie Stream emerge from the water during the dry season, they become artworks that resemble various figures, depending on the imagination of onlookers. Visitors can observe water flowers made by splashing water rushing into the boulders during the rainy season, which runs from May to September.
The trails and roads leading from Ban Ho also lead to Nam Toong, a tranquil Red Dao village, and other ethnic towns, where hikers can experience the best of Northern Vietnam, including deep valleys, spectacular mountains, and simple people.
