The best time to visit Hue is dry season. If you are considering a vacation to Hue, you should be aware of the local weather and temperature. Hue has a tropical monsoon climate, so there are two distinct seasons: dry and rainy.
The dry season lasts from March to August, and is characterized by strong southwest winds and high temperatures. Every month, the average temperature is between 27 and 29 degrees Celsius. May and June are the hottest months, with temperatures ranging from 38 to 40 degrees Celsius.
The rainy season lasts from August to January the next year, and it is rainy and cold throughout this time, even if it rains all week. It's dreary and uncomfortable throughout the rainy season. Rain is a frequent occurrence on vacation, making the situation much worse. Traveling in the city is difficult due to rain. During the dry season, Hue's tourism attractions are open to the public.
Best time to visit Hue City
The weather is ideal for all outdoor activities from March through August. The average temperature in the city is around 22 degrees Celsius, which makes going outside and exploring the city much more pleasant. Rainfall in Hue is also at its lowest during these months, so visitors won't have to worry about their trip being ruined. Tourists can visit historical monuments like the Hue Imperial Citadel, Minh Mang Tomb, and Thien Mu pagoda, as well as enjoy traditional performances such as Hue's royal court music, during this time.
Aside from these ideal months, January and May are also wonderful for visiting Hue. Nevertheless, these two months have more rain. Despite the increased frequency of rainfall, the temperature and humidity remain at a pleasant level for travellers.
