1. Saigon Central Mosque

Perhaps this is one of the city's older and more notable mosques. Saigon Central Mosque, built in the 1930s by South Indian Muslims, makes an impression on visitors with its distinctive architecture, serious atmosphere, and halal food offered right on the street. Originally, the mosque was only for worshipers from Southern India who had come to the city and lived there. However, Muslims from all over the world now have the right to come here to pray and practice their faith.

The busiest day of the week is usually Friday. Arriving at this serene location is a wonderful choice if you want to understand more about Muslim culture. In the summer, visitors can sit, read, or even nap thanks to the shaded verandah and stone floors.

2. Cho Lon Mosque

This mosque is easily visible because it is located in the Cholon-Chinatown region. Cholon Mosque was built in 1932 to accommodate Muslim communities from Southern India who lived in the area. Since 1975, however, it has been open to Malaysian and Indonesian Muslims in Vietnam. The clean lines, minimal ornamentation, and color palette of the building distinguish it from the more elaborate Chinese and Vietnamese pagodas on the same street.

The best time to visit the mosque is around lunch or dinner, because you'll have the opportunity to eat delicious halal food at the mosque's restaurant. Cholon Mosque is a great place to visit if you're new to solo travel.

3. Ho Chi Minh City's Jamiul Islamiyah Mosque

Jamiul Islamiyah was built in 1950 and is also known as the Nancy Mosque. Then, between 1980 and 2003, it was refurbished. In 2004, the mosque officially welcomed the Cham ethnic minority group as well as other Muslim believers. In truth, this is one of the most important mosques in Saigon, as well as the center of a large Muslim community in the area. What particularly moves you from admiration to admiration is the commitment of those who come to pray here. If you get hungry, you may easily find a halal restaurant called Pho Muslim by wandering around the back alleyways. One or two delectable dinners will satisfy your palate.

Jamiyah Islamic Mosque is easily identified and accessible as it is located on one of the city's busiest streets. Here, there are two distinct zones. While believers pray on the upper level of the prayer center, children are taught on the lower level.
