Ta Phin village is a popular ecotourism destination in Lao Cai province and should not be missed when visiting Sapa. Ta Phin village is home to H'Mong and Red Dao ethnic minorities, who still practice traditional ethnic minority customs and lifestyles. Ta Phin hamlet is also a lovely valley surrounded by mountains with breathtaking rice terraces.
Ta Phin hamlet is a small community located 15 kilometers from Sapa town in Northern Vietnam, at an elevation of around 1500 meters above sea level, in a lonely valley surrounded by rice paddies and maize fields. Around 1,000 Red Dao and about 1,500 Black Hmong live in Ta Phin village. The village is divided into 13 hamlets, with 20 or more small communes strewn about.
As a result, travelers visiting Ta Phin village can learn about the customs, traditions, and culture of the Red Dao ethnic group and other ethnic minorities, which will be showcased in the form of wedding ceremonies and traditional dances. Tourists can also take part in a variety of fascinating folk activities at traditional festivals, such as walking on stilts and shooting crossbows, as well as sample traditional delicacies such as bacon and baby corn bread.
The higher ground is also a maze of narrow terraced rice paddies, as well as corn and vegetable fields. Their beautiful rice fields lie under the valley level, providing much of their community's resources amid the aggravating lifestyle of remote mountain living.
When visiting Ta Phin village, travelers are familiar with Ta Phin Cave. Ta Phin Cave holds a distinct allure for individuals who enjoy exploring and being immersed in nature. Ta Phin Cave has a height of 5 meters and a width of 3 meters. When guests go deeper into the cave, they will notice many stalactites with unusual shapes that hang down without being arranged.
Ta Phin village is a fascinating destination to visit because of its distinctive natural and cultural features, which include rice paddies, mountains, streams, hill tribal dwellings, and unique culture.
