The second of two 18-hole golf course in the 1,000-acre integrated resort complex of Novaworld Phan Thiet is called the PGA Garden Golf Course. On the southern Vietnamese coast, close to the East Sea, Phan Thiet is renowned for its clear blue sea, fine white sand, warm sunshine, and consistent weather all year long.
The PGA NovaWorld Garden Course is a more well-kept, parkland-style layout that is nevertheless difficult in and of itself, making it ideal for a resort. By integrating bunkers into the borders of the green complexes, the Garden Course demonstrates its ancestry from the Australian sandbelt. The five lakes of the Garden Course's wetlands and aquatic vegetation provide a pleasing contrast to the vistas of the ocean offered by the nearby Ocean Course.
PGA NovaWorld Garden Course likes its sister course (PGA Ocean Course), Zeon Zoysia grass is used across the fairways, tees, and rough areas. Nicely raised balls rest on a grassy bed that resembles a beautiful bed of needles. Strategically placed water hazards and bunkers reward precision from the tees and into the greens, while the course plays a more manageable 7,200 yards from the tips.
A winding brook that traverses several of the first nine holes is one of the PGA NovaWorld Garden Course's most notable characteristics; it attracts attention while also providing a challenging test. Starting with the tenth hole, there is a gradual elevation change that climbs up to provide stunning panoramic views over Phan Thiet Bay before descending to sea level for the last hole.
The fourteenth hole of PGA NovaWorld Garden Course, a distinctive par-3 with a three-tiered green and a downhill shot over water, is considered the course's trademark hole. A middle-lower tier flag position calls for a birdie. Upper parts are divided by a massive bunker, and given the pin placements, par is a respectable score. This lovely par 3 will undoubtedly present some thrilling challenges.
A breathtaking round is brought to a dramatic conclusion by the waterfall at the 18th green of PGA NovaWorld Garden Course. Either go for a birdie and take the chance of being wet, or play it safe and finish with a par. In either case, the final exam will undoubtedly be recalled for a very long time.
