From Ngu Binh Mountain, people may see all of Hue Imperial City's features, including exquisite palaces, antique pagoda roofs, and the blue and limpid Perfume River meandering in and out from the summit on clear days.
Ngu Binh Mountain (Bang Son), at 105 meters, has a stunning and symmetrical shape. Ta Bat Son (Left Mount) and Huu Bat Son (Right Mount) are two little mountains on either side of the Bang Son (Even Mount).. The Nguyen dynasty was founded, and it was determined to build the Hue Imperial Citadel. Because Bang Son resembled a front screen, Gia Long Emperor authorized geo-mancers' design to use this mount as the front altar of the imposing and solid defense wall system, renaming it Ngu Binh mountain.
Ngu Binh Mountain has been regarded as a fantastic site to observe nature for generations by poets and visitors. From the mountain, people can see all of Hue Imperial City's features, including exquisite palaces, antique pagoda roofs, and the blue and limpid Perfume River meandering in and out on clear days. Right in front of people's eyes, stretches an endless pine woodland across the hills and broad plains with green plants and trees. The vast dark purple Truong Son Annamite Range gamut is concealed in the distance behind silver clouds, etc. To the east is a thin white beach and the deep blue eastern seaside is the Thuan An estuary.
Ngu Binh Mountain, along with the Perfume River, is Hue's second most important gift from Mother Nature. These two blend together to create a gorgeous mountain and river landscape.
